MY 1st LIONEL TRAIN SET FROM SANTA! COMPLETE, TRANSFORMER, TRACK & READY TO RUN

  

The Set consists of the following. #2025 Locomotive , Circa 1952 with working headlight, operates in forward, neutral & reverse. This locomotive was made in 1952 by Lionel of New York, N. USA, in the "PostWar"(1945 to 1970) era when quality trains were made by Lionel.

#6466W Whistle Tender, Circa 1952. Both the locomotive and tender were bench tested and track tested. And, both worked as designed. #6465 2 Dome Sunoco Tank Car. X6014 Baby Ruth Candy Boxcar. 1994 Santa-Coca-Cola Boxcar, with sliding doors. Made by The K-Line Corporation, in China, circa 1994. The original box and plastic "Baggie" are included. #1033, 90 watt Transformer, made by Lionel in New York, N. Prewired Lionel "Clip-On" for quick connection between the track and transformer. 8 pcs Lionel "O"-27 Curved Track. 8 Pcs Lionel "O"-27 Straight Track.

Enough to make a 50 inch by 45 inch oval. Also, but not shown in the pictures, 8 pcs Lionel "O" gauge curved track, made in the "PostWar" era. Of Lionel "O" gauge straight track, made in the "PostWar" era.

There is enough of this older but much better track to make a 50 inch by 41 inch oval. You will see, as I did when track testing this set, the PostWar "O" gauge track is heavier, more sturdy than the newer "O" -27 track. So, this is an upgrade, because the locomotive was listed as an "O"-27 set. "O"-27 has a 27 in diameter. While "O" gauge has the wider 31 inch diameter.

With either track, best results are obtained by attaching the track with wood screws, to a sheet of plywood. Also included is a sample of liquid smoke. But, do not add any until that which is the engine is used up. And, only a drop or 2 is needed.
