Vintage lot of Atlas N Gauge Trains, complete with box, track, transformer. Also includes 2 bonus Engines for your empire. Items from the Set First.... Box may be missing a lid or at least a clear plastic panel insert.

The molded insert has some strain to it, no major holes or damage. The box bottom for the transformer is stuck in place so I didn't try to pull it and damage the insert.

Of the six plastic cases inside the insert, the Caboose in the center is in a different design of plastic box. That box has locking tabs on the lid and is obviously newer. It has a deteriorating foam padding inside and not a plastic insert like the others. Except for the box holding the engine, the older boxes are marked "Made in Austria" on the lid. The Rolling Stock appear in good condition without serious damage.

I did notice a coupler on one that is skewed to the side, some small nicks to finish. The plastic boxes do show their age with tape residue, scuffs to clear plastic, cracks, etc.

There are 24 curved tracks sections which includes the terminal section in that count. There are 2 straight sections and 2 straight re-railer sections. The track pieces will have some slight damage and could be missing rail connectors.

The rail connectors are loose versions and I made no attempt at counting to know whether there are enough for the number of pieces of track. I did use the transformer to test the engines and it seemed to work. I only noticed the split in the cord set when I was wrapping it to fit into it's box.

I don't know if it is a split and short potential or only one wire on the cord. It will need attention on your end. There is an extra Caboose and I think the loose one would be the original one to the set.

I only got the smallest one (147 with Tender) to make any effort to work. It stuttered a bit on the short section of track I electrified so it has at least some life left in it. The other 2, the Santa Fe and the larger Steam with Tender; both gave no hint of movement.

They don't appear to have physical damage to them and repairs and restoration are left to the next owner.
